SaleHoo 2017 Review
Everyone is looking for that easy; get rich quick business idea that takes you 30 minutes a day, once a week. Let me say upfront, that is NOT the case with SaleHoo. Even though it’s not a get rich quick scheme, it can be a beneficial tool to building your online business.
Who is SaleHoo?
The simple answer is it’s a database of over 8,000 that offer drop shipping and wholesale accounts suppliers and almost 2 million products.
From their website: SaleHoo is also a community hub for online retailers with a public forum and free Seller Training Center that teaches new retailers what they need to know about selling online. At SaleHoo, our goal is to make online sales easy and profitable through education and useful tools.
How can I make money?
Well, you have to work for it. I always recommend starting your sourcing for products you personally like or understand. If you have personal experiences with the products, you will know what to look for, what questions to ask, and what answers you may need to give customers
You will want to do your research. Looking for items that have a ton of sellers may not be the best item. Ideally, you would want to find items that have demand with a low seller count. SaleHoo has a great tool called the Market Research Lab to help you with your analytics.
Always think about your eBay and PayPal fees when looking for product. I like to take 15% off the sale price for eBay and PayPal fees. I know that it’s really in the neighborhood of 12%, but a little wiggle room for issues that may arise never hurts.
Are they reputable?
If you read through the thousands of different reviews, you will read different experiences. I can say that like most services out there, you get out of it what you put into it. It’s not a quick and easy process to find product that sells with a good margin. You have to do your research. If I had to guess, a lot of the negative feedback comes from people that are looking for the quick buck. The people that put in the effort, research and time will see profits and in turn leave positive reviews. So if you want to skim through all the reviews, just think about the 2 types of people.
SaleHoo Customer Service
They definitely are in the business to keep their business. The customer service department is open M-F from 5:30PM to 1:30AM EST and they can also be reached via chat on their site from 10:30AM – 2:30AM M-F.
They offer a lot of tools to help you succeed. They have a great community form, blog, seller training center and market research lab all focused on helping you succed.
What does it cost?
SaleHoo cost $67 a year for full access to their directory and tools. There is also the store builder you could purchase for an additional $27 a month, but not necessary if you are just listing on eBay or Amazon. The best part is, they offer a 60 day money back guarantee.
